imbedded dual mosaics
The following sequence
demonstrates the dual nature of these mosaics.
Designed as a triptych, a
viewer wearing polarized glasses will see the images of Presidents
Kennedy, Clinton and Bush. At the same time, their partner wearing a
similar pair of glasses (oriented slightly differently) will unknowingly
see an entirely different set of images.
The work serves as a
reminder that everyone sees the world in a slightly different way, and
that without communication, we cannot reconcile our perspectives.
