jesus in jasper Jasper is one
Like the study of the Madonna in Carnelian,
this is a wry tribute to the many reports of the face of Jesus appearing
in inanimate objects. This particular species of stone is called Dalmatian Jasper for obvious reasons. Its mottled, pinpoint pattern creates an image reminiscent of a pointillist painting. This piece measures 8" x 10" and comprises of 500 3/8" tiles. Click on the artwork to view a close up of the tiles. |
